University of Cambridge invites applications to its NanoFutures research programme

The UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NanoDTC) at the University of Cambridge invites applications for its new NanoFutures Undergraduate Research Scholars Programme for Summer 2022. This programme aims to find and support those undergraduate students who have the potential to become the future of nanoscience and nanotechnology research—a future which we are striving to make more diverse and inclusive—and therefore provides research experience to undergraduates who have previously only had limited exposure to research.

The residential programme will run over 8 weeks at the University of Cambridge from 4th July to 24th Aug 2022. NanoFutures Scholars will be paid at the Cambridge Living Wage, will be reimbursed travel to/from Cambridge, and will be provided with subsidised accommodation.

The deadline for application is 12 noon on 28th Jan 2022. Application details are available on the NanoFutures Scholars website.

Eligibility: The programme is open to students currently studying for an undergraduate physical sciences degree, interpreted broadly, with at least one year left on their degree. At present only permanent residents of the UK who are studying for an undergraduate degree at a UK higher education institution are eligible to apply.

Find out more: Further details, including the benefits which the programme provides and detailed information on the application process, can be found at the NanoFuture Scholars webpage.
