Royce Hydrogen Accelerator presented to investment sector

The event saw over 300 attendees from the hydrogen and investment sectors and was a great opportunity for Royce to talk about the Royce Hydrogen Accelerator .

The event featured keynote addresses from Energy Secretary The Rt Hon Claire Coutinho MP; Lord Callanan, Minister for Energy Efficiency and Green Finance; and Lord Johnson, Minister for Investment.

Royce CEO Professor David Knowles attended the event alongside Royce Hydrogen Challenge Lead Dr Robert Sorrell and Jack Boyer OBE.

David Knowles said:

“There was a very engaging panel and insightful panel discussion led by Jane Toogood OBE FRSC, covering the opportunities around investing in UK Hydrogen and the road to 10GW.

“Royce’s Hydrogen Landscape report has identified in excess of £150 million worth of investment opportunities for hydrogen in the UK. We have already selected the most critical technology areas that the RHA will start to guide funding and attention towards.

“We had considerable interest from a wide range of the investment community throughout the day and some extremely engaging conversations which we will follow up on in the coming weeks.”

The  Royce Hydrogen Accelerator (RHA) will unlock the UK’s hydrogen capabilities by identifying R&D opportunities in materials for hydrogen, attracting investment for them, and pulling them through the UK’s research and industrial community.

It was launched last year with the support of ministers in the Departments for Science, Innovation and Technology, Business and Trade, and Energy Security and Net Zero.
