Join the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) for their workshop on Ex-Vivo Modelling, in collaboration with the International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection.

In this inaugural MCRC Workshop,  four keynote speakers will discuss ex vivo modelling in early detection cancer research.

This event is intended to provide an overview of modelling techniques and technologies that are used in Manchester to aid early detection research.

16:05-16:20 – Dr Andrew Gilmore (Senior Lecturer, Division of Cancer Sciences, University of Manchester): ‘Modelling extracellular matrix stiffness in the breast – linking mechanotransduction and DNA damage’

16:20-16:35 – Professor Sarah Cartmell (Professor of Bioengineering, University of Manchester): ‘Bioreactor, 3D in vitro and ex vivo tissue approaches that could be used in cancer early detection research’
