Judith Holcroft has an extensive career history in communications and engagement. Her early career included roles with Manchester-based Ciba Geigy Industrial Chemicals and London Transport Limited, giving her exposure to both the private and public sectors.

Over the past 20+ years she’s gained experience leading on communications for a number of Membership organisations including Business in the Community (BITC) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel (CIPD), developing communications strategy and translating this into operational delivery. She also spent three years as a journalist and Managing Editor for a print and online publication with global reach, Treasury Management International (TMI).

She joined The Henry Royce Institute from Cogent Skills, where she was Head of Communications for over 10 years. Cogent is the Sector Skills Council for the Life Sciences, Chemicals and Nuclear industries and is a national, strategic membership body that works with industry and Government.

Judith has worked with senior leaders across a range of sectors and is keen to apply this industry engagement and experience to communications activity at the Royce.

She holds a Degree in Communications Studies and Linguistics from the University of Liverpool and an MA in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). She also has a Diploma in Social Marketing from the Open University.

Judith is a long-standing member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
