Ultrahigh discharge energy density in doped ceramic multilayers

Home / Ultrahigh discharge energy density in doped ceramic multilayers
New research obtains ultrahigh discharge energy density and efficiency in doped ceramic multilayers by achieving an electrically rather than chemically homogeneous microstructure.

The research utilised the Transmission Electron Miscrope X-ray Spectroscopy machine available at the Henry Mosely X-Ray Imaging Facility to confirm that, despite being chemical dissimilar, the grains in the BiFeO3–BaTiO3 ceramic multilayers were electrically homogeneous and insulating with little evidence of conductive cores.
