Royce is returning to the Manchester Museum to participate in two days of fun and educational outreach activities focusing on material sciences and engineering for British Science Week 2025. This year, the Royce Outreach team will explore materials under the microscope with with attendees through a range of hands-on activities.

Stand Out Skills is a webinar series for early career researchers working in materials science disciplines. Hosted by experts, each episode explores presentation, communication, or career skills for researchers which aren’t normally taught as a part of established education pathways for materials scientists.
Visitors will journey through the ages and explore how metals have inspired mythologies, transformed cultures and catalysed scientific discoveries that affect our lives. Metals: Pioneering Materials unravels the histories of different metals, investigates their origins and identifies the reasons why they have come to surround us in contemporary life.
