Detailed Description

The 403 Aëolos Quadro quadrupole mass spectrometer is a heated capillary inlet system for routine analysis of gases and volatile decomposition products of thermal analysis. This system is optimized to adapt to TGA. The STA 449 F3 Jupiter® enables thermal effects and mass changes between -150°C and 2400°C to be measured easily. It has a high level of flexibility as it is integrated with several sensors, sample crucibles, and a broad range of TGA-measurements, thus allowing it to be used for testing many types of materials including heterogenous substances. The autosampler adaptation allows high throughput.

Uses/Applications

Heterogeneous catalysis, especially solid-gas reactions.
Dehydration and thermal stability measurements, with decomposition product identification (Mass spec.).
Compositional analysis of mixtures and polymers.
Vapour pressure measurements and sublimation point identification.
