Detailed Description

Can be used to measure the thermal diffusivity, specific heat and thermal conductivity of metals, graphite, coatings, composites, ceramic, polymers and other materials.

It works to the flash method with the light source at the bottom, the sample in the centre and the detector on top.

A xenon lamp as flash source and It works to the flash method with the light source at the bottom, the sample in the centre and the detector on top.

A xenon lamp as flash source and the more advanced mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) detectors to cover the rang of temperature between RT to +1500 degree C. Cp measured by alternating between reference and sample (compares to known values). We can run 4 samples at the same time.

Uses/Applications

Can be used to measure the thermal diffusivity, specific heat and thermal conductivity of metals, graphite, coatings, composites, ceramic, polymers and other materials such as vacuum insulation, air, microporous insulations, polystyrene, PU foams, wood, polymers, coal, porous ceramics.

In addition to the standard sample holders for solid samples of round and square geometries, dedicated sample holders for special applications are available for molten polymers and low-viscosity liquids, resins during curing, pastes, fibres, and powder.

The instrumentation includes sophisticated hardware and simple menu-driven software to provide fast, accurate, and safe measurements.

It works to the flash method according to international standards ASTM E 1461, E 2585, DIN EN 821-2, DIN 30905, ISO22007, ISO18755, ISO 13826 BS EN 1159-2 and ASTM C-714.
