Digital Image Correlation

LaVision StrainMaster µDIC

Materials Research Facility (MRF) | UK Atomic Energy Authority

Micro-scale measurement of 3D strain, displacement and shape

Description

Advanced Digital Image Correlation (DIC) algorithms with the highest quality hardware to provide a complete system for materials analysis. The system uses advanced imaging optics and illumination to unlock measurement capabilities at the micro scale.

Uses / Applications

Digital Image Correlation on mechanical test specimens tested on the 0004 Fatigue Load Frame, or 0005 Static Load Frame

Specification

As a complete system it comprises all necessary hardware, and the software has complete control of the connected devices. The software includes data management, image acquisition configuration, data processing and validation, display and export of information. LaVision’s approach to image correlation means that all of the pertinent information is visible and the user chooses the level of post-processing within the software.
