New funding scheme available for students to access world-class materials science equipment

Royce Hub launches Equipment Access Scheme for Doctoral students

The Royce Hub has launched a new funding scheme for PhD/DPhil/EngD students to access world-class materials science facilities and equipment across its nine partners.

Funding is available for any student studying in the UK to access equipment to support their research. The scheme is designed to enable students to be trained on equipment not accessible at their host institute, therefore diversifying their skillsets to help strengthen future career prospects.

Our equipment covers a range of research themes with capabilities to make, test, and characterise materials. From microscopy or 3D imaging technology to tissue engineering equipment and cleanroom facilities; the Royce Equipment Catalogue is open and accessible to doctoral students.
