New appointments to the Royce Strategic Advisory Board

Royce is delighted to announce a number of new appointments to its Strategic Advisory Board (SAB)

The SAB supports the Henry Royce Institute in achieving its vision of advanced materials for a sustainable society, particularly in relation to the operation of Royce facilities and the quality of the institute’s scientific outputs. It also provides independent advice to the Royce Governing Board on these activities.

The new appointments represent a diverse range of materials disciplines and backgrounds including academia, industry and research technology organisations, and together with existing SAB members bring a vast range of knowledge and experience to Royce.

Professor Dorte Juul Jensen, Head of Materials Science and Advanced Characterization, Department of Wind Energy, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and Professor in Materials Science and Advanced Characterization at DTU.

Dr Alex Rose-Parfitt, Engineering Director of Raytheon UK, part of the RTX Corporation

Professor Rachel Thomson is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience) at Loughborough University

Dr Kate Thornton, Lead Research Scientist, Croda and President of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3)

Professor John Womersley, Special Advisor within the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Edinburgh
