The Henry Royce Institute (Royce) is seeking suitably qualified academic and industrial experts to join independent review panels for its sixth Industrial Collaboration Programme call (ICP6).
The Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) is a flagship Royce scheme designed to accelerate the translation of innovative materials research into real-world industrial impact. Through competitive funding calls, ICP supports collaborative projects between academia and industry that address strategic national priorities and industry-led challenges.
Royce is offering an exciting opportunity for independent academic and industrial experts to join the assessment team to review and select applications for funding delivered through the programme.
For ICP6, Royce is inviting reviewers with expertise in one or more of the following scope areas:
- Energy Solutions: Rising to the net zero challenge
- Future Healthcare: Delivering beyond biocompatibility for active medical solutions
- Structural Innovations: Strengthening our infrastructure, built environment and transport
- Advanced Surface Technologies and Materials Durability: Enhancing product safety, performance and lifetime
- Next-Generation Electronics, Telecommunications & Sensors: Driving the future of high-performance connectivity and computing
- Consumer Products, Packaging & Specialist Polymers: Paving the way for a greener tomorrow
About the Review Process
- Reviewers will be expected to assess up to 10 applications between Monday 02 and Monday 16 March 2026
- Each application takes approximately 1 hour to review and a £25 fee per application reviewed can be claimed by each reviewer (where the reviewer is not already funded by Royce)
- To avoid any conflicts of interest, assessors who are closely associated with or involved in a submission will not be included in the review process for that application
