The Maxwell Centre presents the Impulse Scheme

The Royce Announces 6 Bursaries for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

The Henry Royce Institute is funding 6 places on the Maxwell Centre’s Impulse Programme in 2020.

Impulse, led by the Maxwell Centre, Impulse is an intensive course aimed at converting intellectual property into ‘high potential’ business cases for further investment and development.

At the heart of the programme’s approach is learning from experienced technology entrepreneurs, who provide guidance and mentoring to support the next generation of innovators.

Over 3 months, participants work collaboratively to gain experience in such topics as:

  • Value propositions and business models
  • IP and legal issues
  • Funding sources and financial strategy
  • Investor engagement and pitching

The Impulse programme provides a totally different learning environment for researchers and scientists enabling them to reach their full potential and develop their ideas. The involvement of real business practitioners, with industry knowledge and experience, together with the West Cambridge community sets this programme apart.
