ABM CDT announces call for Studentship Proposals

The 5th Call for Studentship Project Proposals to the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Advanced Biomedical Materials (ABM) relating to the 2023-24 intake was recently announced.  The deadline for applications is 31 October 2022 , and projects will start on 1 February 2024.  Academic partners at either the University of Manchester or Sheffield must be announced as the project lead.  Further information is available on the University of Manchester website.

The CDT programme starts with a Manchester-based, three-month taught programme, with a subsequent integrated training programme throughout.  The thematic areas covered are bioelectronics, fibre technology, additive manufacturing (AM), improved pre-clinical characterisation, and other projects in the area of advanced biomedical materials.

Projects will be led by Royce Partners University of Manchester and University of Sheffield.  Biomedical Materials is a Royce Research Area; the vision of the Biomedical Materials Research Area is to accelerate the discovery, manufacture and translation of biomedical materials, enhancing the UK’s position as an international leader in the fields of biomaterials and biomedical systems and devices.
