Dr Ross Nolan is a Technology Platform Lead for Thermomechanical Processing
Ross also holds the position of Senior Technical Specialist (Advanced Metal Development) based in the Henry Royce Institute at the University of Manchester (UoM).
He graduated with a master’s degree in chemistry from UoM before going to join the Advanced Metallic Systems Centre for Doctoral Training to complete his PhD in metallurgy at UoM in 2015. He then worked in industry as a Failure Metallurgist for Exova until 2018.
After a career break to travel the world, he returned to UoM in 2019 as Senior Technical Specialist (Advanced Metal Development) and additionally became the Technology Platform Lead for Thermomechanical Processing at Royce in 2022.
