After obtaining a PhD in Metallurgy from the University of Sheffield, Oliver Hatt initially followed an industrial career working for Rolls-Royce in the Submarines sector. He then returned to Sheffield to work as a Research Associate at the EPSRC Future Manufacturing Hub: Manufacture using Advanced Powder Processes. Oliver has been working at the forefront of advanced metals processing for over a decade and specialises in machining, additive manufacturing and the wear of materials. Oliver is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the IOM3.
