Judith operates at the intersection of science, business and capital, with a career spanning more than three decades across life sciences, healthcare and deep tech.

Combining scientific expertise with business leadership and investment experience, she has built, scaled and advised companies translating breakthrough technologies into solutions that deliver commercial and societal impact. Her strength lies in bridging the worlds of science, business and investment, combining strategic insight with an independent perspective to navigate complexity and unlock sustainable commercial value.

Trained as a chemist with a PhD in medicine, Judith began her career as a scientist in genetics and fertility research at Organon. Subsequently, she worked as a strategy consultant and engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. Thereafter, she transitioned into senior business development and leadership roles at Crucell, Numico and Royal DSM, where she led licensing, new business development and innovation initiatives. As CEO of Vivolta, Judith transformed a high-tech start-up into a medtech scale-up, advancing nanofibre-based technologies for regenerative medicine.

Today, through Brains Ventures, Judith supports science-driven start-ups and scale-ups with strategy, positioning, fundraising and international growth.

More recently, Judith has brought her experience into the investment landscape. She is an investor and community member at WIN Ventures and co-founder of Mitochondrial Capital, supporting innovative health companies led by female founders across Europe.

Alongside her executive and investment activities, Judith has held multiple board positions across medtech, biomaterials and education.

In recognition of her contribution to innovation and technology, Judith was named one of the 50 Most Inspiring Women in Tech in Europe in 2022.
