Edidiong holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and has 28 journal publications. His experience cuts across several areas of Materials Chemistry including adsorbents, membranes, 2D materials, catalysis, and polymer recycling. He joined the Open Innovation Hub for Antimicrobial Materials in the Surface Science Research Centre at the University of Liverpool in 2014, working with industrial and academic partners. At UoM his projects involved polymeric mixed matrix membranes for gas separation applications, graphene-polymer thermal conductive composites for lighting applications and 2D materials based polymeric membranes for water purification applications. In 2023 he was promoted to Research Fellow in Chemical Engineering. At Royce he is involved in industrial translation of projects to higher technology readiness levels (TRL).
