Dr Olga Kazakova

NPL Fellow in Quantum Materials and Sensors

Olga Kazakova is an NPL Fellow in Quantum Materials and Sensors (QMS). She joined NPL after working at the Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden). Olga is an NPL Fellow and a Fellow of Institute of Physics. She is a Scientific Area Lead in the Quantum Technology department at NPL. She is an author of above 180 peer-refereed publications and delivered about 70 invited talks and seminars.

She is a recipient of the numerous national and international awards, including Intel European Research and Innovation Award (2008), NPL Rayleigh Award and Serco Global Pulse Award (2011). She is a member of Editorial and Advisory Industrial Boards for several UK and international organisations.

Olga has broad research experience in a wide range of quantum materials, nanotechnology, development of novel sensors. She also has a very strong record in professional supervision and mentoring.
