Time to Bragg About Materials

The Bragg Centre for Materials Research’s annual conference, the Bragg Exchange – took place at the University of Leeds on 23rd and 24th January 2024.

Welcoming over 240 delegates in person, the Bragg Exchange 2024 which was sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry and Quantum Design Ltd, was expanded to cover two days for the first time, marking the continued growth of the conference.

With 18 speakers and 65 posters set alongside external exhibitors, a showcase of Bragg Centre experimental facilities, and a cleanroom VR experience provided by Swansea University – this year’s Bragg Exchange was the biggest and boldest yet.

The Bragg Exchange epitomises the Bragg Centre’s vision to enable the greatest impact in materials research across disciplinary boundaries with a mixed agenda that spans the full breadth materials research, from Bionanotechnology to Electronic & Photonic Materials.

This approach aims to avoid confining discussions to breakout sessions and encourages an exchange of ideas across disciplines, sparking unforeseen connections.

If you missed the Bragg Exchange 2024, or can’t wait for next year’s event, then you can catch up with the public broadcast on the Bragg Centre’s YouTube channel.
