Royce visit to Dublin-based Centre for Advanced Materials and BioEngineering Research

In January Royce team members Lisa Hearty, Research and Business and Engagement Lead for Biomaterials and Dr Jonny Blaker, Royce Research Area Lead for Biomaterials met with counterparts at AMBER which is the SFI Centre for Advanced Materials and BioEngineering Research.

The Dublin-based Centre is a multidisciplinary partnership between leading academics in Advanced Materials Science, BioEngineering and Industry.

Dr Lisa Hearty, Research and Business Engagement Manager at Royce said:

“We took the opportunity to share Royce’s mission, and our vision in the biomaterials space which is to accelerate the discovery, manufacture and translation of biomedical materials and enhance the UK’s position as an international leader in the fields of biomaterials and biomedical systems and devices.

“The focus of the meeting was to share interests and identify areas of collaboration and complementarity looking at way to collaborate for future research projects across multiple sectors and industries.

“We see this is at the start of an important collaboration, the next stage is to for AMBER to visit Royce in the coming  months.”

AMBER is hosted by Trinity College Dublin, in partnership with CRANN (Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices) and the Trinity Centre for Biomedical Engineering, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, University College Cork, NUI Galway, Dublin City University, Tyndall National Institute, University of Limerick, University College Dublin and the Technological University of the Shannon: Midland West.
