Royce on the Road: March 2024

The first quarter of 2024 has seen Royce representation at a number of key events, adding further momentum and recognition to Royce’s role in the materials landscape, across a breadth of Research Areas. Here we look at some of those key events – which are in addition to the many others taking place in-situ around Royce Partners.

Royce had a stand at the Centre of Expertise in Advanced Materials and Sustainability launch at the newly renovated Rochdale Town Hall. CEAMS will focus on the provision of green manufacturing solutions and Royce is a project Partner. The event was a fantastic showcase of the innovation taking place in the area and the possibilities that exist through CEAMS capability. Fantastic insights from all the speakers and Panel members including our own Ania Jolly talking about materials innovation and the need to enhance existing materials and Richard Jones similarly talking about starting with what you’ve already got – referencing the prolific materials innovation in the region.

The Royce team showcased Royce at a stand at the major Futurebuild conference which also took place at the beginning of March at ExCel in London. Futurebuild provides a stage for inspiring ideas, innovative solutions and knowledge sharing to drive sustainable construction and help us reach our goal of net zero. The Sustainable Materials Innovation Hub organised a panel to talk through a case study of a project with Vector Homes.

At the end of February, Cathy Bell, Research and Business Development Manager and Michail Dellepiane, RBE Coordinator joined Decarb Connect, the UK’s Leading Industrial Decarbonisation event, with the Royce Materials Systems for Demanding Environments Research Area. Cathy presented a 2 minute pitch on Royce.

The Royce Research and Business Engagement Team also exhibited at JEC World Paris, the leading World Composites show, a chance to network with international collaborators. Featuring ground-breaking solutions, unique manufacturing and business opportunities, JEC World was a networking hub of creativity, vision and action. It shows how composite materials push the limits of projects and ambitions.
