In 2023 Royce is seeking to promote and support the development of a National Strategy for Advanced Materials Innovation. To achieve this we will need to draw on the whole advanced materials research community and also contract expert resource to develop the required framework and support its development. We are still in the process of finessing these requirements, but have put together a pre-tender document for parties who may be interested in leading this activity.
This initial Tender will be for the first part of three phases of a longer, and major piece of work to develop a comprehensive National Strategy for Advanced Materials Innovation with input from the entire community, and underpinned by a broad consultation process which makes use of a variety of consultation methods, from UK-wide workshops to research surveys. These phases are set out in the document below.
More detail will follow in the New Year, but if you are interested in engaging with framing and developing this strategy please contact info@royce.ac.uk in the first instance and we will pick this up with you on return from the Festive break, when we’ll also set out the process, deliverables and value for the first Phase of this work.
At this stage, we are not expecting any Proposals to be submitted, and we look forward to setting out a more detailed workplan in the New Year, to which interested parties will be invited to respond.
