MATcelerate ZERO at CleanTech Showcase

MATcelerate ZERO, which supported by the Henry Royce Institute, exhibited at the Department of Business and Trade (DBT) CleanTech Showcase event at the London Stock Exchange at the end of October.

Dr Gillian Davis, Commercialisation Director, Cambridge Enterprise Technology Transfer Team, who attended on behalf of the project, said:

“Not only was it great to hear the pitches of 10 exciting companies looking to raise finance in the CleanTech space, but we also had a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of MATcelerate ZERO.”

MATcelerate ZERO is a new initiative that will deliver a pipeline of de-risked game-changing materials based on UK universities’ ground-breaking innovation essential to meeting global net-zero targets and driving circular economies.

It is a partnership between the six most innovative materials-intensive UK universities: Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, Bristol, Oxford, and Manchester (supported by the Henry Royce Institute as part of its advanced materials technology translation strategy).

MATcelerate ZERO builds on existing highly successful Apollo Therapeutics and Ceres Agri-Tech operational models that accelerate adoption of university innovation in therapeutics and agritech respectively.
