HERO BANNER - ROYCE COLOURS3

4 - 5 October 2022

Join us at the Materials Research Exchange

The entire Royce Partnership will be exhibiting at the Materials Research Exchange (MRE) 4-5 October 2022 at the Business Design Centre, London.

Organised and run by Innovate UK KTN and Innovate UK, the exhibition and conference will offer new insights about what materials research and innovations are taking place to help the UK become more resilient, and recover from the pandemic and the ongoing energy crisis.

The conference and exhibition programme includes targeted seminars on a range of cutting-edge areas such as materials for net zero, including materials for the production, transportation and storage of hydrogen, the use of hydrogen in low-carbon production of materials, and the scale-up of graphene and metamaterials for industrial applications.

There will be sessions on technology transfer from the UK’s world-class research base with a focus on high-performance, net zero materials required by key sectors such as transport, medical, construction, packaging, and clothing and other wearables.

Royce is organising a conference on the afternoon of Tuesday 4 October.  “Advanced Materials for a Sustainable Society” will bring together a wide range of academic experts, and keynote speaker Zaffie Cox from EPSRC will address opportunities for research and innovation in advanced materials.  The conference will cover topics such as materials for a sustainable society, supply chains, end-to-end hydrogen, and advanced materials for healthcare.  We hope to see you there!

In addition to a dedicated Royce national stand in the exhibition, all the Royce partners will be present to form an “exhibition village”.  Manned by experts in the field, this will offer visitors plenty of opportunities to learn more about how we are developing advanced materials covering a wide scope of industrial sectors from hydrogen to health.

WHO WILL BE ATTENDING?

Industrial representatives and investors will attend as delegates to view what the researchers have on show, discuss the ideas presented, and form partnerships. Academics have the opportunity to network with other experts in different material disciplines. International delegates will be able to view the UK’s world-leading capability in new materials development, and meet with potential collaborators.  The event is designed to enable closer collaboration between industry and the materials research and innovation community.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES
  • Connecting UK research and innovation excellence in advanced materials with UK
product manufacturers and investors to collaborate, and exploit the latest advances
  • Providing a platform to attract international interest in UK advanced materials
research, leading to both export opportunities and inward investment
