At the end of November Royce hosted a visit to the Hub from the Innovate UK KTN Capability Directorate, which includes the Materials Team.
The Innovate UK KTN Materials Team has a strong engagement with the entire value chain, from academic researchers, materials developers through to end-users who make products from these materials and businesses who manage end-of-product life issues. Their role is to add value in making the connections that matter.
The team works with industry to make sure that new developments in materials find a useful home, bringing together the materials supply chain to accelerate innovation, improve productivity and ensure resilience in meeting the needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end users.
Dr Robert Quarshie, Innovate UK KTN Interim Deputy Director and Head of Materials said:
“Thank you so much for hosting the Innovate UK KTN team visit to Royce. The presentation about Royce, the tour of facilities and the follow-up discussions were all very much valued by the team and set the scene for our activities the following day. A number of us took away actions and are developing ideas on further interactions with Royce.”
