The International Federation of Societies for Microscopy (IFSM), University of Liverpool and Royal Microscopical Society will host the 21st International Microscopy Congress (IMC21) 2026 in Liverpool, UK from 31 August to 4 September.
Overview
The vision for the congress is that it will provide a global platform for speakers and delegates to share impactful and outstanding research that will inspire new generations of microscopists, promote new collaborative directions across the diverse scientific disciplines and contribute to the advancement of microscopy.
To honour Liverpool’s rich culture and diverse history, IMC21 intends to integrate key values of Collaboration & Integration, Diversity & Inclusivity and Excellence & Innovation, into every aspect of the congress to create a truly inclusive experience, seeking to imprint a legacy of scientific excellence and global impact.
