This webinar takes a conversational approach to presenting the motivation of our speaker to implement Open Research practices in their work, and will feature a demonstration on using the software ScaleBarIT.

Abstract

ScaleBarIT is a free Windows desktop application that enables users to add scale bars to their microscopy images. ScaleBarIT has a simple and intuitive user interface and comes ready to install. In this open research conversation, Dan Scotson will discuss his motivation behind creating ScaleBarIT, and his decision to release it open access and for free, supported by Royce Data Curation. Dan will also demonstrate how to access, install and use ScaleBarIT, followed by a Q&A session to finish this webinar.
