Policy Workshop: Select Committees & Materials Science with Dr Laura Cohen

This policy workshop will introduce academics and postgraduate researchers working across materials science disciplines to select committee engagement and the parliamentary process.

The event complements the recent policy workshop held by the University of Manchester and will provide more detailed insight into the influencing process through select committees more generally.

Attendance at the event will present a rare opportunity to engage directly with a policy specialist who has decades of experience in working in materials science. The workshop will provide guidance on engaging with different legislative procedures as an expert and will demonstrate case studies from a number of energy and materials related policy select committee enquiries.

The event will be held in-person on 8 December 2022 from 10:00-11:00 at the University of Manchester and will be available to stream via Zoom.
