Background and motivation
Technical staff are increasingly taking up positions where teaching or demonstration is required as a part of their role. This course aims to help technicians understand their own and other different learning styles. Delivery will include a variety of group activities, discussions, reflections and putting what you have learnt together in a short teaching presentation!
There will be a short pre-work that would need to be completed a week in advance of the course that will be sent to you by the team organisers.
Audience
This event is open to RTPs, and travel can be subsidised for those coming from out of Birmingham by NTPMI. Once you have registered for this event, a member of the team will get in contact to arrange this support.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Learning outcomes
After the course participants should be able to:
- Plan and lead a coherent training session
- Develop a constructive and cooperative atmosphere that maximises participant input
- Deliver training events with increased confidence
- Create activities aimed at reinforcing learning.
