Are you a nano science research student eager to share the wonders of nano with budding scientists and engineers at UK schools and Universities, and with your peers?
If so, the Nano Ambassadors programme is for you!
The programme will start with a fully funded 2 day training workshop in Cambridge on 4-5 Sept 2019 , with strong emphasis on public speaking, outreach skills and broader communication skills.
Following the workshop, the Nano Ambassadors will give outreach talks at UK schools and Universities, with funding and other support as needed, and will get together in Cambridge at the end of the year to share experiences with each other and plan for further nano outreach activities.
The Nano Ambassadors will also form a strong ‘ground up’ network of pre doctoral nano researchers in the UK and will have an excellent platform to share their work with their peers which will help build new research collaborations.
Support for access to a range of research facilities will be provided by the Henry Royce Institute.
The Nano Ambassadors programme is organized by the EPSRC CDT in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Cambridge (NanoDTC), and is supported by the Henry Royce Institute.
