Overview
Members of the Henry Royce Institute’s Research and Business Engagement team will be attending the Metamaterials UK Conference & Forum 2026, the fifth annual gathering of the UK metamaterials community.
Organised by the UK Metamaterials Network, the conference will bring together researchers, early career researchers, industry representatives, non-academic research organisations and government stakeholders for three days of collaboration, insight and strategic discussion. The 2026 theme is “Tomorrow’s Metamaterials: Shaping the Future”, with sessions exploring manufacturing, health, space and aviation, sustainability, fundamental science, and the future UK metamaterials landscape.

The venue is located near the southern edge of the Cotswolds, close to Junction 14 of the M5, around 40 minutes from Bristol Airport and approximately 20 minutes from Bristol Parkway station.
