From Discovery to Delivery: Sustainable Innovation Across Health & Life Sciences

Join us at The Henry Royce Institute, the UK’s national institute for advanced materials research and innovation, for a half-day networking event exploring how innovation across academic research and industrial practice can support a more sustainable health and life sciences ecosystem.

This event will bring together a cross-section of professionals from industry, academia and the NHS to explore innovations, not only in “traditional” themes of sustainability, such as materials circularity and waste reduction, but also in associated areas that are crucial to future healthcare systems, including digital health and social science strategies.

Sustainability in health and life sciences is no longer just about recycling and energy use – it’s about transforming systems, products, and partnerships. This event will explore how innovation at every stage, from early-stage research to commercial deployment, can drive meaningful, sustainable impact.

Gain insights from leaders in industry and academia as they share how new technologies, materials, and digital platforms are reshaping the future of healthcare and life sciences. Learn how we can bridge the gap between discovery and delivery, and how collaboration across sectors is essential to building a truly sustainable health ecosystem.

The programme will feature keynote talks, innovation spotlights, a panel discussion (Sustainability Without Silos), and plenty of opportunities to network across academic and industry communities. This event is hosted by the Henry Royce Institute and supported by STFC’s North West Health Cluster.
