Join leaders from industry and academia in shaping the strategic vision of our Material Systems for Demanding Environments (MS4DE) Research Area in this first MS4DE community workshop.
About the Workshop
The workshop will help to define the support our Royce Research Area team provides for the sector as we move forward with the recommendations of the National Materials Innovation Strategy. Through a network of industry leaders and members of the MS4DE community, the workshop will help us to define how we can support industry needs.
The objective of this workshop is to define one or more strategic goals that will inform MS4DE’s research programme, paving the way for targeted collaboration, impactful research, and implementation of the National Materials Innovation Strategy.
Through the course of the programme, participants have the opportunity to make recommendations first hand on where the Royce research community should support industry and understand more about the provisions and capability Royce can offer to businesses across the UK and beyond.
About MS4DE
The Materials Systems for Demanding Environments (MS4DE) Research Area explores the interaction between the environment and structural component &/or coating integrity. Investigating degradation mechanisms, materials performance and technology, and cryogenic conditions. The objective being to design and test innovative material solutions that deliver advanced performance and reduce environmental degradation in demanding environments. This innovation is underpinned by mechanistic understanding to support the transition to a net-zero and green economy.
Who should attend?
If your organisation has a materials challenge, barrier or opportunity related to a demanding operating environment (for instance performance in high temperature, high pressure, cryogenic, corrosion or oxidation conditions) or a coating or material technology innovation please respond to this call for action by completing this expression of interest.
