Farraday Institution Conference 2026 – New Frontiers in Energy Storage

Overview

The Faraday Institution is the UK’s independent institute for electrochemical energy storage research, skills development, market analysis, and early-stage commercialisation. Its 2026 conference will bring together over 500 delegates, including academics from both UK and international institutions, industry organisations, policymakers and funders.

The conference theme is ‘New Frontiers in Energy Storage‘ and the programme contains eleven scientific themes.

The Henry Royce Institute at the University of Oxford is sponsoring the conference’s bursary scheme. Research leaders and members of the Research and Business engagement team will be approachable throughout the event, which also features presentations from members of the Royce community.

This event will be hosted at the East Midlands Conference Centre on the University of Nottingham campus.

Dates

The Farraday Institution Conference will run from 8 to 10 September 2026. There is also a programme of research facility tours taking place ahead of the conference on 7 September.
