EPSRC Engineering Net Zero Week

The event will be an opportunity to:

• bring researchers, industry leaders and policy makers together to reflect on and raise awareness of the EPSRC investments made in this space
• continue the conversations that took place at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26)
• highlight how our activities link to the sustainable development goals
• show our response to the outcomes of COP26 and how EPSRC-supported research and innovation can substantially contribute to net zero solutions.

Four thematic areas

The week’s activities will be focussed around four thematic areas:

• towards net zero energy
• solutions for a greener industry and urbanisation
• our green future
• delivering zero emissions transport and mobility solutions.

Engineering net zero week will celebrate research being undertaken to achieve net zero ambitions.

Opportunities

Opportunities for EPSRC-funded researchers include:

• hosting a stand at the engineering net zero showcase event. Register your interest in hosting a stand at the showcase event on SurveyMonkey
• submitting an entry to the engineering net zero photography competition. Submit an entry to the photography competition on SurveyMonkey
• hosting a virtual event that will be featured on the engineering net zero virtual event platform. Register your interest in hosting a virtual event on SurveyMonkey.

EPSRC engineering net zero showcase webinar

We will be running a webinar on 3 May 2022 between 13:00 and 14:00 to provide more information to the community on:

• the engineering net zero theme
• the event programme
• how to get involved.
