Differential scanning calorimeter

Netzsch Pegasus DSC

Royce Hub building | University of Manchester

Allows the determination of characterising temperatures and also the heat of crystallisation.

Description

The DSC 404 F1 Pegasus is a high-precision differential scanning calorimeter equipped with a rhodium furnace, enabling thermal analysis up to 1600 °C. The system offers excellent sensitivity and stability under inert, or vacuum atmospheres, with programmable heating rates up to 50 K/min.

Uses / Applications

Designed for advanced materials research, it supports a wide range of applications including phase transition studies, heat capacity measurements, and reaction kinetics. Ideal for characterising metals, ceramics, and other high-performance materials, this instrument is a key asset in the Advanced Metal Processing research area.
