With an extensive career history working with research funding bodies and private industry, Lisa Hearty is the Business Development Manager for the Biomedical Materials research theme at Royce.
Lisa began her career in industry as a research chemist; working firstly to develop drugs to combat Alzheimer’s and epilepsy and then as quality control analyst, Lisa gained vital insight into effective process in industry.
After moving back into academia, Lisa has spent the last 10 years working to improve the industry offering of universities, with particular interest in accelerating discoveries from clinical science to tangible improvements in healthcare.
Lisa’s experience in managing research strategies, working with research councils and developing partnerships has given her a strong insight into the necessary skills required to build mutually beneficial relationships.
