Dr Nuria Tapia-Ruiz
Senior Lecturer in Energy Materials, Lancaster University
Nuria Tapia-Ruiz started her independent career as a Lecturer in Chemistry at Lancaster University in 2017 and got promoted to Senior Lecturer at Lancaster University in 2020. She currently holds a CAMS-UK fellowship and is involved in two wave-2 Faraday Institution projects, NEXGENNA, where she is the project leader, and FutureCat.
Her interests focus on the physics and chemistry of materials for energy storage, primarily in the area of electrochemical energy storage devices, such as rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors.
She was awarded the STFC Batteries Experimental Design (2016) and Proof of Concept (2017) awards, and the Lancaster’s Science and Technology Research of the Year Award (2021).
