Faraday Institution and Royce Launch New Rapid Equipment Access Scheme

The Faraday Institution and Royce are offering a rapid access scheme to promote the use of Royce facilities by UK battery researchers.

The scheme offers Faraday Institution researchers a streamlined route to access key characterisation techniques access for quick investigation of electrode and electrolyte materials.

Early career researchers (ECRs) are encouraged to access they scheme and should seek support from a principal investigator or co-investigator of the Faraday Institution project they are associated with.

The scheme is intended:

• to be an effective signposting route for Faraday Institution PhD researchers and Research Associates to techniques offered by Royce, helping those researchers establish contact.
• to act as an access route to the future use of more sophisticated or specialist characterisation techniques offered by Royce by ECRs.

The Royce SME, student and research access schemes remain open to support projects with more complex requirements. ECRs who already access Royce facilities at their home institution should continue to do so via established routes.

Subject to initial take up it is anticipated that the scheme will continue on a rolling basis.
