Robin Morris a Business Development Manager for the Henry Royce Institute at the University of Oxford. Robin oversees Research and Business Engagement Activity in the Royce Research Area for Electrochemical Systems.
A physics graduate, Robin’s initial career, working on a wide range of materials research at Johnson Matthey Technology Centre, culminated as Principal Scientist. He then led product development at Bookham Technology, taking on product support and international business development responsibilities.
Since then, Robin has supported SMEs and university groups involved in developing clean transport, energy storage materials and distributed energy storage systems. Most recently, Robin has been piloting community energy projects as director and co-founder of a social enterprise. He has maintained involvement in energy storage research, deployment and standardisation, including field trials.
Robin is keen to widen access to the fantastic, growing range of facilities available at Royce. He wants to encourage the energy storage community to capitalise on the amazing equipment and fabulous support team.
