Ben Spencer is a Senior Technical Specialist and Platform Lead for Surface Characterisation at the University of Manchester. His research focuses on surface characterization techniques such as XPS, HAXPES, SIMS, and nanoindentation to understand applications in metallurgy, energy materials, and energy storage. Ben’s work aligns with multiple Royce Research Areas, including 2D Materials, Atoms to Devices, and Biomedical Materials.
