Dr Angelos Tsanai

Dr Angelos Tsanai

Application Scientist

Dr Angelos Tsanai worked on lanthanide magnetic materials at the University of Glasgow with Professor Mark Murrie, before joining Professor Rosseinsky at the University of Liverpool at Materials Innovation Factory, where he investigated s-block polyaromatic hydrocarbon intercalated superconducting materials. At the University of Edinburgh he worked with Professor Euan Brechin on the discovery of molecular iron oxide materials and their use as metal electrocatalysts for ammonia oxidation. Angelos’s experience and interests span a wide range, including co-crystal formation, crystallization of small molecules, transition metal molecular chemistry, moisture and oxygen-free chemistry, 4f lanthanide chemistry, iron oxide molecular materials, electrochemical ammonia oxidation, s-block extended materials, superconducting materials, magnetism and magnetic materials, single- and powder x-ray structural characterization.
