Register Your Interest for the Royce National PhD Conference 2025

Join us in Manchester on 14-15 April 2025 for talks, workshops, and discussions on topics across materials science. This is materials science conference is for you, students researching in materials science!

The conference is being planned with early-stage PhD students in mind, those in their 1st or 2nd year who have not attended a conference before or had the opportunity to present. It will also be a great opportunity to learn more about materials science in the UK.

The event will be a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Share research and develop peer-to-peer networks.
  • Learn what you can gain from Royce: equipment access, training, funding or a future career.
  • Discuss the future impact of materials research on global and societal challenges.
  • Discover the role of novel materials applications across strategic UK sectors.
  • Gain an insight into materials science careers.

Hosted in the heart of The University of Manchester’s Oxford Road campus, the conference will provide opportunities to network with other students from all areas of materials science, and beyond. The event also offers the chance to connect with Royce staff and researchers, learn more about what the UK’s national institute for advanced materials science can offer PhD students.
