Online workshop to create a UK knowledge sharing community on the safe exploitation of Advanced Materials

The SMI Hub’s Sustainability Workshop: It’s Not Easy Being Green, will provide impartial advice and expertise around plastics use and plastics circularity, which will support your business to use plastics more sustainably and efficiently now, and in the future.

A research symposium organised by the Materials Processing Institute and supported by the Armourers & Brasiers’ Company and the Iron & Steel Society of IOM3.

This event aims to provide students with some crucial career skills that may not be encountered as part of the structured learning on a research-based PhD. The talks and activities will be around “soft-skills”, such as networking and communicating science to non-specialist audience.

This course explores procedures and techniques for the planning, preparation, and running of ion irradiation and characterisation experiments. Participants will gain a deeper knowledge of best practice in this research area and provide useful guides on how to fully use these techniques available through Royce partners and the wider UK nuclear research community.
